Plants are pretty cool, and turns out, they can make a lot of different dishes — like a vegan burger that tastes just like the meat version, or a superfood salad with so many colors it’s like eating a rainbow. 🌈
So, the next time your body is craving something healthy + wholesome (or greasy but plant-based), refer back to this list of local restaurants with vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based offerings.

Have a seat… A collaboration between local artist Manik + Empire Seven Studios (E7S) brings custom benches to the Exhibit — a new housing complex in Japantown. The commissioned pieces are mementos of E7S’s roots — being constructed from 100 year-old lumber from their previous building. Using their new 10,000-sqft headquarters at the Exhibit, the studio has plans to host record swaps, art markets, performances, and other community events.
The benches are dedicated to residents who enjoy a freight — or in this case, passing trains. 🚄

Editor's pick: I can proudly say that I went vegetarian for ~7 months, which is a big accomplishment for my carnivorous self. However I am saying that in past tense… so if you’re like me, and not currently vegetarian or vegan, would you try it out? Why or why not?
Let us know if you have any more recommendations for plant-powered restaurants that would even impress a meat eater.
